On May 27, 2009, Flowers National Bank welcomed over 200 people to a Community Appreciation Day in Cainsville. The event was held on the town square in front of our bank location. Chris Flowers, Chairman of J.C. Flowers & Co, LLC and the shareholder of Flowers National Bank was in attendance and greeted and spoke with many of our customers and guests.
Highlights of the day included a presentation of the Flowers National Bank scholarship to three graduating seniors of the Cainsville high school and a donation was announced toward a betterment project for the City Park. One attribute of rural Missouri is the vast farmland and picturesque countryside. The day afforded Chris Flowers with the opportunity to visit the bank’s branches and meet with customers, and also visit an area crop farm and meet with a local farm family. Chris was able to see first-hand, the efforts required to produce a crop and to discuss the economics of farming. Chris noted that, "the countryside is very beautiful and the generational ties and commitment to the community run deep." Chris was also able to thank our customers for their loyalty and business and to show his and Flowers Bank's commitment to the community.
